The Industrial Companies offers various options for surface preparation, in many cases several options are needed in order to obtain the finish that is needed. Below are descriptions of some of our surface preparation equipment.

Shotblasting - Shotblasting, also known as bead blasting, is a method of surface preparation often recommended by coating manufacturers. Shotblasting offers high production rates, a variety of surface profiles, and efficient containment and disposal of dust and other containments. Applications such as mastic and glue removal, surface cleaning and texturing, concrete etching and profiling, and epoxy and sealer removal makes shotblasting an attractive alternative in various circumstances.

Shotblasting is the preferred method of surface preparation, recommended by most coating manufactures. It produces excellent bonding characteristics that promote reduced coating failure and maximum floor life.

Grinding - The Industrial Companies rehabilitates existing concrete floors through a mechanical dust-free and water-free diamond grinding surface preparation system to provide instant repairs for joint curling, rain out, poor finish work, spalling, discoloration, staining, coating failure, mastic and glue removal, delamination, cracking, and uneven surfaces. Concrete grinding can return your floor to a structurally sound and smooth finish while eliminating the need for shotblasting or scarifying preparation.

Flooring Removal - We offer flooring removal and surface preparation services using the latest high production ride on and walk-behind removal equipment. With the use of these pieces of equipment a wide variety of surfaces including carpet, vinyl composition tile (vct), sheet vinyl, ceramic tile, hardwood parquet and planking, epoxy, or electrometric floor is mechanically removed without the use of chemicals. After your floor covering is removed, we can finish the job with a concrete grind, polish. shot blast, scarification, and/or successive new floor covering or floor coating installation.
